Dancing in the 1930's was something people loved to do most. After a stressfull day of doing whatever, people of all ages would love to just dance and have a good time. It was a cheap, easy way of taking your mind off things. Swing music was a big thing in the 1930's. Artists like Harry James and Benny Goodman, the King of Swing, would play music with such great beat that everyone would jump up on their feet, and get caught up in the music. They would dance for all hours of the night, or until they physically couldn't dance anymore.
In the 1930's, the world of swing dance brought its own language to life, called, "jive."
